A little bit about us
Shaft Lining Australia was formed in 2011 under the umbrella of the Stratacrete group of companies to provide shaft lining services for both the Australian civil and mining industries. Since completing our maiden shaft at Peak Gold Mine in New South Wales, Shaft Lining Australia has completed in excess of 20 shaft contracts for a variety of clients. Our first remote shaft lining unit was designed and constructed in Perth, Western Australia to support both surface and underground shafts.
In September 2012 the company, after a short yet rapid period of growth decided to increase our capability by embarking on our most ambitious innovation to date…Robotic Rock Bolt installation. After four years of designing, testing and commissioning we successfully trialled the unit at Glencore’s CSA mine in New South Wales in March 2016. The rock bolter or PABLO as he has affectionately been called uses the same operating technology and control interface as our shaft lining unit. PABLO has been wholly designed and constructed to continue our push for autonomous ground support installation which we believe will reduce the risk exposure for personnel working in shafts.

30 years shotcrete and concrete experience. Managed various civil and Mining contracts such as North Parkes,Cadia, Elura and Mcarthur River. Established independent shotcrete contractor Stratacrete in 1997.
Dave Mcgarva
Shaft Superintendent and Research and Development
10 years shaft lining experience. Managed various shaft operations such as CSA, Crocodile Gold Cosmo Deeps, Moranbah Nth and Prominent Hill.
Steve Kersnovske
HSEC Shaft Lining Australia & Stratacrete Group
Diploma in occupational Health and training and qualified workplace assessor. 10 years mining experience and previously worked with Toll Mining and Australian Defence Force.
